With lot of joy I packed and got ready to go. I started early so that I could get some good food on the way. We reached the hotel pretty early and had already told one of our friends to order for us so that we don’t get late. Inspite of ordering early the guy takes a lifetime to get us our food. Once we finished eating, we took an auto to the bus stand where we saw our bus. It was supposed to be a very pleasant journey as it was an air conditioned bus and we were a bunch of classmates traveling together.

As we started moving, I tuned into my Creative Zen for some good music and eventually fell asleep. After about an hour or two my friend woke me up and told me that the bus had broken down. I was furious at first but eventually cooled down. We were pretty much in the middle of nowhere and the bus driver stopped the bus right in front of a fire station(luckily!!!). Now, people inside were getting pretty restless and eventually everyone was out of the bus. We heard that there was some problem with the battery because of which the bus wouldn’t start. This was pathetic!!! I wanted to go on a peaceful journey not be stranded in the middle of the road at 1 in the morning!!!!

The bus driver had left for the closest town to get hold of a mechanic and for 3 hours we didn’t get any news from him. Suddenly the other bus driver who had stayed back started meddling with the batteries and found out that the problem was just because of a wire which was cut. Now, don’t ask me how he knew this all of a sudden but I was glad that he found out. In a couple of minutes the guy who had gone to the nearest town had come back with a mechanic as well so he got to work and in about 5 mins the bus got alright. We were supposed to reach Chennai at <st1:time minute="30" hour="5">5:30am</st1:time> but ended up reaching at <st1:time minute="30" hour="9">9:30am</st1:time>.

I am just narrating this story to prove a fact that if you expect too much out of life it gives you the stick. Just go with the flow and am sure we will be just fine.

Tata Nano - A small car with a big future...

Everyone has been talking about this new car by Tata that’s going to change the face of motoring in India. Is it true??? Is it for the good???

Let’s analyze…

The Nano has a rear wheel drive, 623cc engine with multi point fuel injection technology. The engine is supposedly very fuel efficient. And the car meets with all the environmental norms. It’s a small car on the outside but very spacious on the inside.

Now, the 1lakh car is ready but are the roads in India ready for the car???? From small towns to major cities everywhere we find the lack of infrastructure. Unless we develop on that, there is no point in saying that everyone has a car. This car has a rear wheel drive and not an all wheel drive!!!

Now, it’s true that it ensures safety for most Indian families but the point I’m trying to make is that this is not a solution for the traffic safety in India. There should be more mass transit systems. I remember watching this very famous TV sitcom and in that sitcom one of the characters buy a car, immediately his roommates condemn him for buying it because there is no way they would be able to drive it in the city of New York. Similarly we must also promote more and more people to use the mass transit systems like the buses and trains.

This would be a good source of income for all the state governments and I see no reason why the government should not set it up.

It’s not that I am against the Tata’s introducing a truly revolutionary car; it’s just that because of this the kind of repercussions that are going to take place is going to be huge. Imagine an already cramped New Delhi road with Nano’s rather than motorcycles. It’s scary to just think about it.

ICE Hockey!!!!

When I had been to Canada I had the oppurtunity to play Ice hockey. This sport is also termed as on of the fastest sports on earth. It’s exiting to watch the players fly on the ice from one corner to another and to watch them pass the puck. Most Canadians play this sport just like how almost all Indians are into cricket.

Since Canada is a cold country they have a good chance to utilize all the ice and make life more exciting!!!! Unlike cricket, hockey(as it is called in Canada) is NOT a gentleman’s sport. You can see people fighting, hitting each other with the hockey stick and much more on the rink. The governing body of the sport is called as the NHL or National Hockey League. There’s also a women’s governing body known as the NWHL.

Just like the world cup, the most coveted prize in ice hockey is the Stanley Cup. Many teams have fought for it but only the brave and talented have won. This sport is also played in other countries such as Switzerland, U.S., Czech, Russia, Finland, Sweden etc. But they are always outnumbered by the number of Canadian players. It’s also known as the unofficial national sport of Canada.

All those out there who want to prove their masculinity and impress their girlfriends, here’s a sport for you.

Greenwich Meridian....

Couple of years ago I had been to the UK. I really wanted to see Greenwich (GMT) because I had read a lot about it in our textbooks. Since I was there alone I had to take a bus and then a subway to get there. The subway system in London is so confusing!!! They have many subways at different levels and they are colour coded to make it easy but believe me it isn’t that easy. Once I reached Greenwich I had a whole new feeling. Like the picture below shows the sights were amazing to say the least.

Then I wanted to go and touch the zero degree line. As I was walking around I saw a wall with a line and it was kind of ruined and when I went closer I realized that it was the zero degree line!!!! Immediately I pulled out my cam and clicked a pic, then I had an ingenious idea, I put my left leg on one side of the line and my right leg on the other side. As I had said in my earlier post, I had been to Thailand recently. There I visited this Buddhist temple which keeps and cares for numerous animals, especially tigers.
I saw a sign that said not to wear t-shirts that were red or orange in colour as I entered. My bro had to change because he was wearing a nice red one. On questioning the security guard I found out that if the tigers saw the colours of blood it would attack us. Phew!!! That was a close one.

Once we entered we couldn’t see any animal and we kept walking for quite a distance. We were shown to quarry were we could see tigers roaming freely!!!!! No strings attached!!!!!! I was scared to death, these ferocious cats were very well built and their size was just mesmerizing. If one of them attacked you would be a goner. My bro on the other hand was having the time of his life (he likes animals). He was the first one to go near them and take pictures with them. I was still not convinced. My dad went next. It was my turn now. I was almost pissing in my pants!!!!

When I went close to the first one it moved a bit and I almost freaked. But as I went around I began to enjoy it. Even my mom (who is scared of every animal on planet earth!!!!) was enjoying herself. The best part was when we took the tigers for a walk. They fitted each of these tigers with dog leashes and we could take them for a walk. It was awesome!!!!

After the walk, we went to the place where they fed the tiger cubs. These cute little things were fed using feeding bottles. Then, we were asked to wait at a spot on the road. All of a sudden there was this loud noise and food was being dropped on the road. All kinds of animals came together and started eating. It was a good sight to see.

For the people who are interested in visiting this place, here’s the info :

Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua - <st1:street><st1:address>Tiger Temple
Kanchanaburi-Sai Yok Road</st1:address></st1:Street>
Open daily: <st1:time minute="0" hour="9">9.00am - 4.30pm</st1:time>
Entry Fee: Adults - 200 Th.Baht

Topgear

I am a serious automobile enthusiast and watch as many shows as possible. One very good show that I came across was Topgear. This show is hosted by BBC and it has the right mixture of comedy, celebrities and awesome cars that they review. The thing that really caught my eye were the three personalities or characters if I should call them, who host the show. The trio namely Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May put on a very hilarious show. This show is not only for those who know the technical know-how but even for those who don’t anything!!!! You will still have a good time watching their shows. They do these variety of adventures which are pretty interesting as well. Some of their good adventures include a drive to the North Pole, taking a non 4 wheel drive car across Africa and racing a mustang with a horse.

In the show they also have celebrities who get time themselves in their racetrack and get to see where they stand. Just to add a little mystery to the show, they have another character called the Stig who is always in a helmet. No onw has ever seen him but he drives real fast!!!!

You also get good reviews of all the cars, for example if they think a car is bad, they shoot it down!!!! That’s the sincerity that I expect and that’s exactly what they deliver.
For all those automobile enthusiasts, here's an awesome show for you!!!!

Kiliyur falls.....

Couple of months ago (i.e. in the last sem), my friends and I decided to go on a holiday as we had a couple of days off. At first we thought of going to Ooty or Kodaikanal, but we found out that most of the students were heading to these places. When I spoke to my dad on the phone he suggested this place called Yercaud. When I googled it I found out that it was also known as “Poor man’s Ooty”. So, we eventually decided to go to Yercaud. We took a grueling 4 hour bus ride to Salem and reached there by nite.
The next morning we took a bus to Yercaud. In terms of distance the place was pretty close to Salem but it took a long time to reach as we had climb a hill. Once we reached Yercaud we found a place to stay and decided to hire a car for our trip. We went and visited all the nearby sightseeing places. By the end of the day we had almost all the places and we still had a full next day. On enquiring around we found out that there was a waterfall nearby and that we had to trek for around 3-4km to get there. We thought this was a good idea.

Early next morning we got ready to go. It was a very cold morning and all of us were excited to see the falls. The road to falls was good up to a point. At a specific point there was a board that pointed in a direction that said waterfalls. Instead of looking at the direction clearly we continued on our way. After about a half hour of trekking someone pointed out that we had taken the wrong route. We were already tired and this was the last thing we wanted to hear. We made our way back up to the point where the board was present and looked at the direction. The board was pointing in a direction where there was no road!!!!!!

Just a small path, enough for one person to tread at a time. We continued down that path only to find out that it was getting steeper. It was also tough to walk on the mud, since it had rained the previous nite. At a half way point, we all sat down and discussed about it and finally we came to a decision that we would reach the waterfalls no matter what it takes. The path got scarier as there were no barricades around and if slipped, it would mean the end of our lives. Slowly and carefully we down that gruesome path and reached the waterfalls. The water falls was seriously an amazing sight to see.

There was no one around and we had the falls for ourselves. Myself and one of friends got under the falls for a refreshing bath. The water was clean and chill. It was worth all the effort we had put in to reach that spot. After the refreshing bath it was time for us to go back. Again, with great difficulty we got back and we were tired as hell after that trek. On our way back we kept advising other tourists not to attempt to get to the falls as it was too dangerous (We had just realized that!!!!!!)

This was a really exciting trip and a great adventure.

Interesting poems....

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; recently I also made it a point to visit one of the most famous hotspots in South East Asia – Pattaya…This place was a very happening place with loads of beaches and other fun stuff to do. I had gone there with my family and there we had arranged for a guide. This guide told about underwater sea walking which is very famous. Immediately the first thing that came to my mind was a big glass tunnel wherein you get to see all the fishes.
The guide insisted that we go for this and we finally decided to go for it. The next day we traveled on a motorboat and reached a spot where there was nothing visible but water. There were these two humongous boats that were attached to each other and we were told to climb on to it.

I still figured that there might be a tunnel in the middle of the sea so that we could see the various types of fish. But I was wrong!!!!

Once I got on to the boat a guy asked us to sign on a form. When I went through the form, I was psyched, it said that we wouldn’t hold anyone responsible in case of loss of life. Now, I was beginning to worry a BIT!!!!

Once we signed the forms, we were taken to a spot where I saw people standing in groups. Then, I saw the group that was going to go, they had these enormous round helmets (like the ones in cartoons) and they were pushed down. Now I was freaking scared!!!!!!

We had a whole bunch of complicated instructions that were mentioned to us in a very weird English dialect that I might never be able to understand. But, all said and done it was now my group’s turn to jump in and I was NOT the first one to go in. First my brother went and next was me. I prayed to god and hoped that I would be able to get back to land. I closed my eyes and the next thing I felt, was a push that would take me down to the sea bed. Once I was there I opened my eyes and I was mesmerized at what I saw.

There was a large coral reef where there were a variety of fishes moving all over the place. The guys at top sent down some bread packets so that we could feed the fishes. As soon as I put some bread on my hand I saw about a thousand fishes rushing at my hand, at first I thought they would eat me up but the feeling was good. It felt as though they were tickling my hand.
After we fed all the bread, there was a photo session. After that it was time to go. I didn’t feel like going up. It was so nice down there, u feel disconnected from the world for once. But, like they say all good things must come to an end.

Carnatic Music for the next Gen!!!

I am writing this post because I see that carnatic music is a dying art as not many people are appreciating it. It is upto us to take forward an art that has been living since generations.

One of the oldest forms of music is the carnatic music. Most of us think that it is for the oldies and not for the new generation. But, that’s wrong!!!! It is from carnatic music that the other forms of music have developed. Most of us don’t realize that.

The way carnatic music has been designed is ingenious. It first starts by teaching the student the basic 7 letters of music (I’m sure most of u know that atleast!!!). The highlight of this form of music is that it includes rhythm right from the first lesson which means the student learns music with a sense of rhythm. This is one thing that other forms of music lag in. As we move higher in carnatic music it promotes self compositions too, which brings out the originality of the student. This way the student understands music better. All great singers (like Hariharan, S.P.Balasubramaniam, M.S.Subbalakshmi, Bombay Jayashree, Sudha Raghunathan, and Unni Krishnan) of our time have started out by learning carnatic music. Carnatic music isn’t easy to learn but once mastered you will be able to sing and appreciate all of forms music.

Carnatic music also has a close relationship with various dance forms of India (like the Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi etc.). So, what I’m meaning to say is that Carnatic music does not teach you music but also gives you an insight of all the other forms of music and dance.

If someone is learning an instrument, start out by learning carnatic music. What this does is that it gives you better flexibility. Thereby, you can play any sort of music on your instrument. This is not an experimental view but a tested one. I learnt carnatic music on the keyboard and was able to pass the western music exam with little or no effort.

Now, for some of us who have heard carnatic music and have found it boring, it can be very exciting as well. I saw this movie called “Morning Raaga” and was very impressed at how carnatic music was depicted. If you get a chance to see it, don’t miss it. Carnatic music with the drums and a guitar would sound even better. That’s exactly what they did in the movie.

Anybody interested in watching the movie can download the torrent from www.torrentsgalaxy.com (although u have to register first, but it’s a nice site).

Creative vs Apple

Everybody wants to get one of those portable media players, but how do you actually decide on what is value for money??? In this post I have talked about 2 same yet different players.

First, let’s talk about the Ipod. This player revolutionized the world!!! Every other player is somehow based on this one. The people at Apple had struck gold when they introduced the player into the market. Let’s consider the 30gb video ipod for instance, it is a very slim and good looking player (it’s apple afterall, they created the macbook air recently) This player has a decent battery life and easy to use controls. A touchpad helps you do all your required functions. It is handsomely priced at 14-15K for the 30GB model….

Now, let’s talk about the Creative Zen Vision:M. This player seems to be getting very popular too but for the people who look for value for money. This 30GB player has a better screen resolution than the ipod. It has got better sound clarity as well. It is a bit thick, but it comes for a cool 10K. That’s pretty decent. It can do everything that an ipod can do and even more. Its got an FM radio option too.The problem with ipod is that it uses the itunes software to synchronise and cannot be synchronized with various computers. But the Zen is like a plug and play device and it plays all formats where as the ipod only plays the m4a or mp4 format. The itunes converts all the files into these formats before loading them on the ipod.

So, if you are looking for a player with value for money go for the Zen. On the other hand if you are brand conscious and have loads of money to spend I would suggest you go in for the Ipod.

RYE Program...

In this picture I am holding pieces of moon and mars worth 5 million $!!!!!!!!! You want to hear the rest of the story, here it goes.....

There are many things in life we come across, be it interesting people or interesting stuff or even interesting programes. This interesting program that I am going to talk about will help you meet interesting people and do interesting stuff!!! Most of us are unaware of the youth exchange program that Rotary International offers.
Firstly, let me get one thing straight it is not specifically for Rotarians, anyone can do the program. All you require are good skills and some talent. The program sends one student from India to another country for a period of one year. The trip is totally sponsored by rotary except for the airfare. What it actually means is that you will be an ambassador of India!!! Isn’t that exciting???? (Think of all the attention you can get) The rotary expects you to give presentations about your country and culture, thereby promoting world peace. So, like I said it requires some soft skills. You will be enrolled in a school in the country where you go and you would stay with 2-3 families during the period of one year. These families called as Host families would take care of you and you would part of their family.
I would like to share the fact that I was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student and had gone to Canada during the year 2003-2004, just after I finished my 10th grade.
This program gives you an opportunity to mature in a better way and understand different people. It also gives you an chance to be an ambassador for you country. How kool is that???
Now, about the disadvantages of this program, technically you will lose one year in terms of academics(like I did). But I think its totally worth it because maybe I lost a year in terms of education but in terms experience its like I gained 10 years!!! Nothing can beat that….
This program is an interesting way to promote world peace, bravo Rotary!!!!
There is an age limit on this program. The minimum age at which you can go is at 16 and the last is 18. If you are older than 18 the Rotary offers you various other programs…Once I do get the details will let you guys know….If anybody has any doubts on this program I can give first hand info….Cheers!!!

Parallel Universes: Real or Imaginary?????

Many of us wonder what parallel universes are all about and whether they are real or fake. Many scientists and critics have tried to either applaud or criticize they very idea of a parallel universe. It all originated in the year 1954 when a young doctoral candidate from Princeton
named John Everett III came up with this radical idea. Now, after this idea was made public, many science fiction films had come up with their views on it. How and why this idea arised is a very interesting thing.

This Everett guy was actually trying to explain certain questions in a very interesting subject called QUANTUM PHYSICS. The world of science has been studying this ever since Max Planck introduced this concept in 1900. Something that is peculiar is the erratic behaviour of the quantum matter. To make it short, I will give you an example it is like this Imagine if you looked and acted like a solid human being when a friend glanced at you, but when he looked back again, you'd taken a gaseous form. This has come to be known as the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. The physicist Werner Heisenberg suggested that just by observing quantum matter, we affect the behavior of that matter. Thus, we can never be fully certain of the nature of a quantum object or its attributes, like velocity and location. This theory was also supported by the Copenhagen interpretation, where Niels Bohr said that all quantum particles don't exist in one state or the other, but in all of its possible states at once. The sum total of possible states of a quantum object is called its wave function. The state of an object existing in all of its possible states at once is called its superposition.

Everett accepted with all of the above theories mentioned but disagreed with one thing. He said that when we tried to measure a quantum object it did not change state but rather it causes an actual split in the universe. For example, say an object's wave function is both a particle and a wave. When a physicist measures the particle, there are two possible outcomes: It will either be measured as a particle or a wave. This distinction makes Everett's Many-Worlds theory a competitor of the Copenhagen interpretation as an explanation for quantum mechanics. When a physicist measures the object, the universe splits into two distinct universes to accommodate each of the possible outcomes. So a scientist in one universe finds that the object has been measured in wave form. The same scientist in the other universe measures the object as a particle. This also explains how one particle can be measured in more than one state.

As unsettling as it may sound, Everett's Many-Worlds interpretation has implications beyond the quantum level. If an action has more than one possible outcome, then -- if Everett's theory is correct -- the universe splits when that action is taken. This holds true even when a person chooses not to take an action.

This means that if you have ever found yourself in a situation where death was a possible outcome, then in a universe parallel to ours, you are dead. This is just one reason that some find the Many-Worlds interpretation disturbing.

Another disturbing aspect of the Many-Worlds interpretation is that it undermines our concept of time as linear. Imagine a time line showing the history of the Vietnam War. Rather than a straight line showing noteworthy events progressing onward, a time line based on the Many-Worlds interpretation would show each possible outcome of each action taken. From there, each possible outcome of the actions taken (as a result of the original outcome) would be further chronicled. But a person cannot be aware of his other selves -- or even his death -- that exist in parallel universes. So how could we ever know if the Many-Worlds theory is correct? Assurance that the interpretation is theoretically possible came in the late 1990s from a thought experiment -- an imagined experiment used to theoretically prove or disprove an idea -- called quantum suicide. This thought experiment renewed interest in Everett's theory, which was for many years considered rubbish. Since Many-Worlds was proven possible, physicists and mathematicians have aimed to investigate the implications of the theory in depth.

At the end of the day, it is for us to either believe or disbelieve whether it is real or imaginary. What do you think????????

Valentines day coming up!!!!

All you Romeo's out there....I'm sure you've been waiting for the day to come....But what are you going to do when it finally arrives????I need some ideas on what I can do.......So, if you know a thing or two about what I can do, lemme know.......

Cheers!!!!

CRDi Technology.....

In the good old days, Diesel Engines were one of the noisiest engines, but compare it to the recent cars which run on diesel and you will be surprised at what technology can do. Now why do people prefer diesel you may ask, it’s because they give you better efficiency and also due to the rising fuel prices, tend to be cheaper. So, even though they have better efficiency and the fuel is cheaper, petrol cars rule the market because they do not have much maintenance as that of diesel cars.

Now, let’s talk about the technology that has been revolutionizing diesel engines. Many of you would have heard it, it’s known as Common Rail Technology (Common Rail Diesel injection).

Ever wondered why or what makes this technology so exciting?????? That’s because it has something for everyone.

CRDi uses a single reservoir of pressurized fuel to supply to all the fuel injectors. It is actually a high strength steel tube that sits on the engine with short pipes connecting it to each injector. These injectors are connected to the cylinder head, injecting fuel directly into the cylinder. Each injector is turned on and off electronically for precision firing. The pressure, timing and duration of the injection are controlled electronically by the engine management system and there is a set pressure for every operating condition of the engine. The injection system is similar to petrol engines (MPFI) except for a slight change in the pressure used in diesel injection which is 1800 bars as compared to 5 bars for the petrol engine. Due to this the fuel is atomized better and it burns more completely than petrol. Hence it is cleaner, efficient and leads to less pollution.

Basically in the older diesel engines, the cam pushes the plunger because of which the plunger moves up to a certain limit and when the required pressure is reached, a spring valve is open for the injection to take place. The disadvantage of this was that there could be only one injection event taking place for every single cycle of the cam. In Common Rail Technology there is a fuel pump which continuously pressurizes the rail and the injectors here are independent of the cam. Thus, they can produce four or more injections per cycle.

In any diesel combustion, there is an ignition delay period i.e. it is the time taken for the injected fuel to mix with air and start to burn. The fuel that is injected during this period burns very quickly and noisily. On the other hand, Common Rail Injection systems enable smaller “pilot injections”, which precede the main injection. The pilot injection gets the fire started quietly, before the main injection burns to give the power. This way it avoids or at least significantly reduces the noise. Some of the companies that manufacture these injection systems along with the engine management system are Bosch, Delphi, Siemens and Denso.

Now, for the end user’s perspective, diesel engines make more sense, the reasons are given in this paragraph. Diesel has always given higher torque than petrol. Torque is what really makes things happen. Modern diesels have superior torque and acceleration where it counts. Also, turbocharging has played a large part in improving the performance of diesels. It delivers huge benefits in performance and efficiency at reasonable on-cost. Turbocharging a Common Rail Diesel engine is the ideal marriage of performance and refinement. Turbocharging a diesel engine gives better results than turbocharging a petrol engine because of the fact that there is a limit to how much you can charge a spark ignition, but in the case of diesel engines the maximum cylinder pressure is the only limit. The more air you give a diesel engine the more fuel you can put in, this in turn gives you more torque and power and the faster you can go.

These engineering advances will mean diesel engine’s noise issues will fade further from customers’ purchase considerations. Common rail engines’ quiet operation at light engine loads and its improved cold-starts make diesel cars even more socially acceptable.

Everybody recognizes the need to conserve energy. Reducing fuel consumption in vehicles could make a major contribution to the issue. If more cars with Common Rail Technology and modern injection systems are introduced in to the market, there would be massive energy savings and reduction in emissions. It is a viable solution and it is ready now, waiting for us to take the next step. Petrol’s dominance in today’s market is no longer assured thanks to these new technologies.

So all you speed lovers out there, get on and floor the pedal……. Feel the pulse raising, heart pounding, the revs shooting up and the vehicle pushing you back into your seats to burn some rubber….. For environmentalists and those who are out to make tighter emission rules, here is a brilliant technology that promises to reduce and give cleaner emissions to leave a healthier environment behind for our next generation. For engineers, it’s a milestone achieved in the process of making way for the emission free automobile. This is what Engineering is all about, creating a better tomorrow. As for me, since I have experienced this technology I would like to say that “IT’S A SHEER DRIVING PLEASURE”

The Common Rail Technology is an Engineering Marvel:

Gives more POWER;

Improved FUEL ECONOMY;

Less POLLUTION; and last but not the least

A DIESEL ENGINE whose noise levels match a PETROL ENGINE

Macbook air(heavy on your pockets!!!)

Most of you would have read about the new laptop by apple called the Macbook Air...For those who havent here's a preview...
As you can see, its pretty lightweight and slim, to be more exact it's about 0.16-0.76 inches thick and weighs only 3 pounds!!!!
It has all the usual macbook features and a bit less!!! It does not have a cd-drive....Can u imagine a laptop being bought in today's tech-savvy world without a cd-drive????
For its processing power the new Macbook Air utilizes an Intel C2D processing running at 1.6 GHz (with 1.8 GHz being offered as an option), 2 GB of DDR 2 667 RAM on an 800 MHz FSB. The Macbook Air also sports USB 2.0 jacks, Micro-DVI support for external display connectivity and full support for both 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. In terms of battery life Apple has said that the laptop is capable of easily introducing 5 hrs of battery.
And also, it comes only with a 80GB hard disk....Do u think that's enough?????
Though it's light, Apple has seen to it that it's heavily priced....A basic model will set you back $1798 and a full fledged one will cost you about $3200....
People who are willing to spend this kind of money would much rather go in for the other laptops from apple rather than this one....

Would you go in for this one if you had the money?????

Rich Games!!!!

Have you noticed the recent trend of games which have been released????? Whether it is Crysis or Call of Duty 4 or NFS Prostreet, it all had a minimum graphics requirement which meant that you either had to buy a graphics card to play the games or not play at all......

Even the upcoming games require a graphics card....Does this mean that the people who buy computers for around 14-15k(very famous in India!!!) cannot play games on their system's!!!! I don't remember anything until the age of 5, when I first began going to school.
As a skool goin' kid I think I had the right mixture of innocence and notoriousness. I did my schooling in Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Hyderabad.
My class of 26 had 8 boys and 18 girls. So, we were pretty much dominated to say the least.
Since we were only 8 of us we became good friends with each other, hanging out together. Till my 6th grade I thought girls were my truest enemies. As I became more mature, I thought otherwise.
From class 7 onwards, it was all about befriending more number of girls. In class 9 I had my very first girlfriend, for whom I fell head over heels. I still remember that rainy evening at school when I had the thought of asking a girl out for the first time. Eventually she agreed(I was pretty good at convincing people...) and I was overjoyed. I was always on the phone when I was at home and when I wasn't, then I was with her. We shared some good chemistry. But as usual all good things have to come to an end. This end was one of the most bitter ends in my life. The poor girl was devastated and so was I. The next thing you know, your one of the biggest jerks. Then came the childish rivalry, it was a game of espionage played with and by your friends.
In class 10, I had another girlfriend. But somehow I never shared the same chemistry with her or with anybody else as I did with the first one. Is this what they call first love????
When we did pass out of school (I did it with a meager 75%) I realised that I may never experience the same environment as that of my school ever again. When I signed on all the slam books I realised that I didn't want things to end this way. I had made more enemies than friends.

Do you think school friends become your best friends?????
Is first love overrated??????

Any comments on these questions are welcome...

First Post...

Hey Everybody...This here is my very first post....I'm trying out something new and I hope it works....I haven't written many articles because I don't consider myself as a good writer, but I have to improve and thought of this as a good idea to improve my linguistic skills.....

Cheers!!!!
